-----Question-----
where can i find a "how to" on an engine exchange  for my 6 cylinder  88 toyota?
-----Answer-----
No idea.

Try www.yotatech.com
techinfo.toyota.com is Toyota's information center.
There's a '93 Tacoma manual online on yotatech.

If it costs you more than about $750 for an engine. Fuck that bullshit. Spend your money stuffing a 3.4L 5vz-fe in there.

That 3vz-e is the biggest piece of shit Toyota ever made. Ironic, because the 3vz-fe in the Camry platform is killer. ;)

And if you put an R block in it. I'm going to shoot you. LoL!

Answer
You'll have to rewire it LoL!
From what I know, the bolt in & bolt up. (All toyota v6's use the same pattern to date thus-far)
You'll have to re-wire it all tho.

Best to check on www.yotatech.com for the swaps. It's been done agood bit. But you'll get alittle better mileage, have ALOT more torque & horsepower at any single point in the rpm band.
And there are nice mods for that engine that can eventually be done.
