Honda: stalling, fuse, gears

Question
i was driving my girlfriends  2004 civic ex automatic 4cyl  last night and i was shifting through the gears 1 2 3  driving it pretty hard . and today she is saying its stalling  could thaat be from me or maybe a big puddle that we went through . it didnt stall last night though

Answer
The car could very well be stalling from you "gate" shifting last night.  You should not use these lower gears for anything except what they are designed for(not racing).

First step is to reset the computer's memory.  Find a fuse marked "back-up".  It may also be labeled "ECU", "ECM",...engine control...something like that.  Remove the fuse for about 20 seconds, and plug it back in (make sure it's in the same orientation it was before you removed it).
After about a day of driving, the car SHOULD be back to normal again.  If not, I'd say water.

Then again, you should drive it now and see what the symptoms are.  Can you tell if the transmission is acting up, or is it the engine.

Good luck,

B.
