Toyota Repair: COLD STARTING, upper intake manifold, toyota 4runner

Question
95 TOYOTA 4RUNNER (120000 MILES)6 CYL,3.0,AUTOMATIC,AC,2 WHEEL DRIVE. I HAVE TROUBLE STARTING THE TRUCK WHEN IT IS COLD OR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR AWHILE.I HAVE TO TURN IT OVER FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS BEFORE IT WILL START.ONCE IT IS WARM IT WILL START PERFECTLY.I JUST INSTALLED NEW PLUGS,WIRES,ROTOR BUTTON, DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND FUEL FILTER. IT WAS RUNNING FINE FOR A COUPLE DAYS AFTER INSTALLING ALL THIS.SO I'M FAIRLY SURE THOSE THINGS ARE OK. ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Answer
These trucks use a "cold start injector" to aid in cold starting.  It is located on the passenger side upper intake manifold. It will have a small fuel line going to it and a two wire plug. One wire goes to the starter circuit and the other too a start injector controler mounted in the rear of the engine (really a pain to get too).  I would connect a test light across the two terminals of the injector and see if it lights during cranking on a cold start. If not you may need a new controler.
