QuestionI just purchased antenna mast and removed old one. I realized the plastic mast part broke off inside motor. What do i need to do to remove old broken off plastic in order to put new one on
Answertake off the mudflap
take off the inner fender liner
theres a 10 mm bolt at the base inside fender.
Theres a nut on top
use needle nose and a rag so you dont scratch your fender.
take the screw out at bottom of aluminum pole.That way the ant cable remains in the car.
take motor out and its simple to see how the cover comes off the spool.
clean out old cable.
Pull the small piece out the top of the pole and discard(look at the new piece to see what I mean)
Reinstall, the put the new rod and cable in AFTER the ant is reinstalled.
Push it in as you turn the radio OFF and it will pull the cable in.
THEN put the nut back on the top.
