Toyota Repair: avalon lamp failure sensor, autoparts store, toyota dealer

Question
My light on license plate went out...I replaced them.  The idot light on my dash pops up everytime I put it in gear.
Someone said to reset the LFS, which is located on the "Left side of the trunk".  I have looked for hours to find this sensor..what am I looking for?  What size, color, where on this '98 Avalon might this "pearl" be hiding?  I don't want to spend $200 to replace it at the dealership when I think if I click it and reset it, it will be shut off on the dashboard.

Answer
The tail light failure relay can not be reset, In most cases this problem can be taken care of by replacing all the bulbs in the rear including the brake light on the rear shelf, I would also recommend getting the bulbs at the toyota dealer because aftermarket bulbs from an autoparts store may not be the correct wattage and this will cause the warning light to turn on. As the bulbs are removed I'm sure there will be a few that are smoky looking inside the envelope, they may still work but they have too much resistance. Give this a try and let me know.
