Toyota Repair: Toyota 4 Runner Shocks, wheel alignment, atv trailer

Question
Hello
I have a 2000 Toyota 4 runner Limited with 92000 miles on it. I will be putting new shocks on it. I drive normal no off road but do tow an H&H 8x12 ATV trailer that hauls 2 ATV's, 1200 lbs when loaded. What would you suggest as far as shocks and struts go. I just bought this vehicle last week. Also if I install the front struts would I have to have the front end aligned? It just had a 4 wheel alignment done prior to me buying it.

Thank You

Answer
Toyota parts are expencive. I'd replace the springs, shocks, mounts, bushings, & end-links. Check the engine & transmission mounts.

The alignment should not change barring there is no major problem. But any time you get an alignment. Spend the $100-150 for a lifetime alignment service & read the fine print.

For aftermarket components I would check out a sorce like www.yotatech.com.
