Toyota Repair: REAR LIGHT FAILURE WARNING LIGHT ON, toyota avalon, warning light

HI TED, I HAVE A 1999 TOYOTA AVALON WITH A REAR LIGHT FAILURE WARNING LIGHT THAT'S CONTINUOSLY ON. CHECKED ALL THE LIGHTS AND THEY ARE WORKING PROPERLY.  WHAT COULD BE THE TROUBLE/FIX.

This warning light system is very sensitive to resistance of each bulb, eeven though all lights seem to work there may be one bulb that has higher resistance and this will turn the light on the dash on, this is the most common cause, I would suggest that all the bulbs are removed, including the brake light on the rear shelf, I think you will find one or more that look like they were overheated but still work, bulbs are cheap so I would suggest replacing all the bulbs in the rear, that should fix the problem if not let me know.
