Toyota Repair: hazzard lights question, toyota corolla, turn signals

Question
I own a 1993 AE102 TOYOTA COROLLA LE, I installed an aftermarket alarm because my model year in the USA did not come with one. I choosed a AUTOPAGE with remote start. It works perfectly evrytime. The only thing that I want to do is connect the flashing lights of the alarm to my hazzard lights. So when I activate the alarm or if I de-activate the alarm my hazzard lights would flash like the 1996-1997 TOYOTAS. The problem is that when I connect the alarm's flash relay output to the hazzard switch only right side lights up, and if I use the other side of the switch only the left side lights up. If I connect two wires, one to the left and one to right would that cause any damage? The WHITE alarm wire is fused and the WHITE WIRE is standard for the flashing lights on most aftermarket alarms. 5 years ago I connected an alarm's WHITE WIRE to the hazzard light switch and it worked as long as the switch was connected to the harness. The thing is that I do not remember how I did it. Please help me out if you can.

Answer
I usually shy away from aftermarket stuff.
But if you connect the wires together, under normal operation the circuits will be combined and youll get flashes instead of turn signals.
Why not connect to the tail lights, theyll flash red , not orange, but who cares?
