Toyota Repair: 2000 Sienna long cranking time, fuel pressure regulator, service bulletins

Question
My van requires longer cranking time than usual (2-3sec) before it starts. I've tried to turn on the ignition key and waited for the sound of fuel pump stops before cranking but it still doesn't help. When the engine is hot, it is a little bit faster to start but still slow compared to my other car. I just bought this van and it has 77Kmiles on it. The engine runs smoothly and loose no oil at all. I have all maintenance records but no where saying spark plugs were replaced. I plan to replace them soon but still wonder if that is the main reason for slow starting.
Thanks for your help.

Answer
I think the sound you here is the ABS pump precheck.
you should not hear the fuel pump with the key on.

A tune up surely cant hurt and may solve the problem.
The plugs are due at 60k miles, there platinum.
If it doesnt there are several things that can cause extended crank.

You may have an injector that leaks down or a bad fuel pressure regulator. either way it should get a fuel pressure test to check it.
You may also want to have it scanned for codes.
You have a hands on type of complaint.

No service bulletins for that complaint. No common problem either.
