Question
Hi Ted hope you can help. I have a 1994 toyota trecel the rear lights seem to be fine except the passenger side is a litte dimmer, my problem is when the lights are on and you step on the break the passenger side goes out. but only when the lights are turned on.I replaced the bulbs checked for any broken wires in the trunk didnt see any.I have no idea why.DO YOU. Any suggestions would be great if not no problem your answers to other questions for people have helped me a lot on things I didn,t about Toyotas and saved me tons of bucks. Keep up the awesome work .Bob from Ajax.

Answer
Check all of the bulb sockets, remove the bulbs and check inside the sockets to see if there are signs of the contacts that may have melted or are worn, this is either a feedback problem caused by a bad contact or a loose ground connection, check all of the ground connections on the bulb holder assemblies and make sure they are tight. Also make sure that the bulbs match the sockets.
