Toyota Repair: tail light for 2001 toyota corolla, toyota corolla, inner edge

Hi,
I had to replace the driver's side tail light for my 2001 toyota corolla and I just wanted to know if the 3 screws that hold the light to the car are removeable from the tail light or if it's glued on.  My new tail light doesn't have the 3 screws on it, and I tried to use a plier to remove the screws from the old tail light, but it seems stuck on.

the lens is an assembly.
It unbolts from the car.
Take the trim panel off inside the trunk to access the screws.
Depending on the model there may be screws on the outside visable when the trunk is open on the inner edge of the lamp assembly. Or hidden by a small black cap.
