Toyota Repair: 1994 Tercel SRS Air Bag Light, jumper wire, light thanks

Question
1994 Tercel, I drove the car to work with no problems after work i started it up and had an air bag light. The car has 91,000mi and has been very good. Will I be able to run a self diagnostics by shorting T and E1 since I dont have a constiant engine light? Thanks for the help. Dale Bartells

Answer
Place the jumper wire on the check connector between TC/E1 to read the diagnostic code on the air bag warning light, read the number of blinks of the light, there may be more than one code, there will be a pause between each code, for instance a code 12 will be one blink followed by two, then if there is another one there will be a pause and another code, if no other code the same one will just repeat itself.
