Toyota Repair: VSC trouble, scantool, engine malfunction

I have 76K on my 2001 Toyota 4 Runner. I was returning from a
trip lately and the Check light came on along with the VSC ligts. My
wife said she heard some noise prior to that. I have noticed no
change in the way the car drives or handles. Is this something that
needs fising right away?  What do you think the problem is?

The trac/vsc lights will turn on anytime the check engine light comes on so you will need to find out what the code in the computer is that turned the check engine light on, when there is an engine malfunction detected the trac/vsc is disabled and notifies the driver by turning the lights on, the root cause is the check engine light so have someone hook up a diagnostic scantool to get the codes.
