Toyota Repair: 22r hard to start, vac line, float bowl

Question
I have a 86 4x4 , 22r engine , 5 speed, no ac. Afew years ago during start-up the carburetor  would act like it was getting to much gas.        so since then I simply tap the gas pedal until it would clear. On very cold mornings I would have to press the pedal and hold it until it cleared up. Now, here is a new twist ,I spent some time replacing and checking all the vaccum hoses. I also tightened all the screws and bolts on the carb. Every morning it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get it to start. In the afternoon on a hot day it starts with the tun of the key. Thanks for any help.

Answer
make sure the choke flap is cloed on a hard start when cold.
Also there is an AAP (Aux Accel Pump) diaphram on the side of the carb. Its round and the cover is held on with 3 screws. Pull the vac line off and see if there is gas in the line, if so replace the AAP.
Its labeled on the Vac diagram on the sticker under the hood, if its still there.

Also possible the float bowl is draining down while it sits and you crank to fill the carb before it will start.
