Toyota Repair: distributor timming, head bolts, auto parts stores

hello again the illistraions you sent were great thx a lot hopefully this will be the last time i bug you on this engine LOL, ok if you could tell me the position of the disrtbutor when it contacts the cam so it will be in time, and here is the big problem when removing the head bolts one was hard to get out ,when it came out it brought some threads with it then when putting the head back on the threads in the  block striped out  at30 FT lb is there anything i can do, do they make a threaded insert for that or something

I don't recall what engine you are working on so i can't help with the distributor at this time, please get back to me with more info.
There is something that is available to fix the stripped threads, it's called Heli-coil thread repair kit, these are available at most auto parts stores, the thread will have to be drilled out and then rethreaded to accept the heli coil insert, the drill and the installation tools come with the kit which is not cheap, it may be more cost effective just to have a repair shop that is willing to do this do this for you.
