Auto Parts: 1936 chevy pickup, chevy pickup, fuel pumps

Question
I'm replacing the fuel pump in a 1936 Chevy pickup, and I need to know how to know when the mechanical arm and the cam are in the correct position for installation. Thank you.

Answer
If I remember correctly, this is one of those fuel pumps with an arm sticking out about 5" from the fuel pump body.  There is no great science to installing one of these pumps.  The arm merely needs to go under the camshaft so that the cam can press down on it.  If this doesn't sound right, maybe you could send me a picture of the fuel pump.
