Toyota Repair: will not start, amp alternator, battery connections

Question
2003 toyota tacoma s-runner, 3.4 liter v-6 5 speed, 36,000 miles. truck purchased brand new in 03 by me, was driven daily until may of 04, then truck used sparingly at that point. was used in may of this year to move some items from our old home when we moved-started and ran completely fine after battery replacement. went to crank truck today, 7/25/06, engine will turn over, but will not start-checked all fuses, all seems to be fine-i did have to jump start truck, as the battery was completely dead-battery would not even open door locks-any ideas?

Answer
Is there a possibility that the battery connections from the jumper battery were connected in reverse because if that happened the 100 amp alternator fuse blew out, check this fuse to make sure it is still intact, if it is blown, also check some of the other fuses like the EFI fuse with a test light for continuity.
