Toyota Repair: Sienna shuts off when i let go off the accelator, air control valve, accelator

when i try to start my sienna it will not crank the engine until i press the accelator, and as soon as i let go off the accelator the engine stops.  it does crank but the engine only runs when i have the accelator pressed down...cna you please help

This is a common problem, it's caused by the intake air control valve(IAC)it's located on the throttle body, the best way to fix this is to replace the valve, if it has less than 36,000 miles and is less than 3yrs from the day of sale it is still covered under the factory warranty.
