Truck Repair: my 4x4, f 350, autozone

i'm trying to remove front u-joints on a 2000 f-350(7.3). Is there anything holding the axel in the diff or is it on the outside.

I have been in the F250 with the stamped twin "I"Beam front axle, and the left side pulls out of the diff, but the right side inner end has a clip inside the differential, and won't pull out.
I don't know if that is the type you have, and if they are the same or not.

Autozone.com should have a manual online if 2000 isn't too new.
otherwise at the public library, in the refference section, they have every manual you could need.
