Toyota Repair: 1988 Camry (Australian) passenger power windows, window switch, driver windows

Question
Hi Ted, my '88 Aus Camry Ultima has hit a giltch - the passenger side power windows wont work with either passenger side or driver controls. Both backseat and driver windows work fine. I've pulled the control panel on the driver side window controls and everything seems to be connected properly. Short of ripping off the panel, is there any advice you can give me?

Answer
It could be a seized up window motor, to eliminate it as the cause remove the door panel and disconnect the connector to the window motor then apply 12volts to one side of the motor and provide a ground connection to the other side and see if the motor moves, if not reverse the connections and see what happens, if the motor does not move with either configuration it is the problem and needs to be replaced, if the motor moves up and down by alternately applying voltage and ground the motor is obviously not the problem and in that case it is a switch or wiring problem, most of the time the master window switch on the left is the problem in that case.
