Subaru Repair: Subaru Check Engine Lights On and Off, subaru outback, oxygen sensor

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2001 Subaru Outback. I have a delayed transmission engagement problem which is improved after I added some transmision fix fluid recommened by somebody. Now the check engine lights on and off 4 times during the 3 weeks. Will that be a oxygen sensor problem or delayed transmission problem or some more serious problems?

ANSWER: Its really hard to say without at least knowing the code that is being set.Best thing to do is to have it checked out locally by someone who knows Subaru.

QUESTION: Hi,Justin,
Thank you for your quick reply. Today my check engine lights is back again. I went to Autozone and put out the code. It is P0328. I was told that would most likely be a Knock sensor circuit high input problem. What should I do now. Do you have any suggestion?
thanks,

Answer
Most likely you need a new knock sensor.Pretty common problem. Not sure if its something you want to try yourself. Its on top of the engine, drivers side towards the back.Black round sensor held onto the engine with one bolt.Just be careful you don't cross thread the bolt in upon installation.
