Question
i have a 1991 toyota corolla with 171,000 miles on it and the engine runs great but the brakes need to be replaced, the struts also need to be replaced and it feels like i need a front axle, i just had one replaced but do you think it would be wise to fix it with the high milage or look into replacing it with another used car. also i was wondering if replacing the struts was a big job (just the rear) and if i would need some special tools please help me

Answer
need a spring compressor to do the struts, or you could take them out and have the parts store swap em over.

the engine will outlast the body if you change the oil and dont ever overheat it.

If you like the car fix it. If you dont like it fix it and sell it. They still fetch a good price in good condition.
