Toyota Repair: 1989 Camry...no power to windows or driver side door locks., door locks, master switch

Question
Hello Ted, my dad has a 89 Camry (6cyl) and his driver side door lock won't work, passenger side still does. Also, the power windows on both sides do not work. I traced the relay down to behind the glove box and removed it. Found the door control relay, it clicks when locks are actuated. But the windows are still a mystery. One more point of interest is the driver side automatic seat belt will not extend, it is stuck now in retract position. Any help would be appreciated on this matter. Thank you, Steve

Answer
The problem with the windows and door locks may be due to a bad master switch located in the left armrest, the seatbelt system is not connected to this circuit and I suspect is a seperate problem, the most common being that the motor for the seatbelt has stopped working or the seatbelt computer is malfunctioning, this is an overcomplicated system and is hard to diagnose but those are the most common issues.
