Toyota Repair: Toyota Corella, toyota corella, diagnostic fee

I have a 1999 Toyota Corella and recently my check engine light has been coming on? What could it be?

I can't help until I know what the trouble codes in the computer are, you can get this information by connecting a diagnostic scantool to retreive any codes, some autoparts stores will do this for you at no charge(Autozone/Kragen) or you can take it to a repair shop or the dealer to get this but they will charge you a diagnostic fee.
