Toyota Repair: 1988 toyota pickup want to add A/C and power steering., salvage yard, toyota pickup

Hi,

I am the original owner of a 1988 Toyota pickup that has 29000 miles on it.

It is the standard bed, 1/2 ton, 22R motor.

I bought it stripped from the dealer. I would like to add air conditioning and power steering to it.

Could you give instructions on how to do this?

The best way to go about this and probably the most economical is to find another truck in a salvage yard that has all the necessary parts and buy them there I know that the factory A/C system is not avilable from toyota anymore, the power steering parts may be but they will cost many times more than the truck is worth, considering the the power steering gearbox alone is at least $800 if not more. It just doesn't sound practical and definetely won't add much value to the truck but if you still want to do it then check with a salvage yard for used parts, I can't give instructions how to do it because it is way too involved.
