Toyota Repair: 91 4runner problems, hog hunting, jumper wires

Question
Hey Mike,I have a 91 4runner v6 automatic 4x4 98,000 miles with 4000 on a new engine. My first problem started with the transmission overheating. After about 20 minutes on freeway atf light comes on and it starts to lose fluid out of the bellhousing then when it cools down the fluid stops dripping.I climbed underneath to see what could be causing this when I noticed a wire(blue/white wire coming from a sensor on the trans axle passanger side rear on tranny) was unplugged.Aso I noticed the small fan passanger side on the radiator wasn't turning on.So I put the plug together and the fan still didn't work.Well needless to say I had to cut my hog hunting trip short. When I got home a Friend told me to bypass the plug on the fan with a 12 volt jumper to see if the fan comes on.I applied the 12 volts to the blue/white wire coming from the tranaxle,no fan came on.What did happen is i smelt something burning the jumper wire i used got extremely hot.Now my truck will start sometimes, when it starts it will idle fine but as soon as u give it gas it will bog almost to the point of dying. So I no I did something when I put volts on that wire.It ran fine before.I did some diagnostics on it and here are the codes 22,24,32,41 all sensor codes. So do u think i fried the ecm/ecu computer. If yes whats the safest way to install one.On my trans problem I found  the actual plug that runs the small fan and applied juice to it and the fan came on.So what can i check to see why it's not coming on when the truck is hot.So i need all the help i can getThanks,Mike...From Mike

Answer
Jumper wires are BAD idea.
Try to stick to a test light to see whats voltage is going where.
I suspect it would not start if the ecu was fried.
Fix the fan problem first.
Then see how the trans shifts.
