Toyota Repair: Toyota lights, daytime running light, fuse panel

Question
I have a 2001 toyota corolla, 67000 miles. This morning my high beam light (inside) was flashing. When I got to work, turned off my car, my lights wouldn't turn off. I turned the car on and off again, the light switch is off. The lights on my dash are on, the front and rear lights are on. My car has the day light headlights, they are on all the time, but at night I turn them on with the switch on the steering column. I couldn't get the fuses out, so I had to unhook my battery. Any ideas? I have never had a problem with this car.

Answer
Possibly a problem with the daytime running light relay or a wiring problem, I would recommend having the toyota dealer diagnose this and make a recommendation as to what needs to be done and keep me posted as to what they do to repair this problem.
There have been some cases of overheated wires on the fuse panel on the lower left side of the dash, the remedy is to cut and splice new wires in so have it checked for that also.
