Toyota Repair: Engine light, obdii scan tool, toyota avalon

2001 Toyota Avalon (V6)
Check engine light is ON and following codes:
P0446 - Evap Vent Selenoid
P0141 - 02 Sensor (Bank 1, sensor 2)

Answer
The two codes are not related.
The p0141 is most likely that sensor. Bank 1 refers to the cylinder bank that has the #1 cyl in it. Sensor 2 is after the Cat converter.

The purge VSV would be a good place to start if there are no other EVAP codes.It is located under the engine cover on top of the intake.
You can active test it if you have access to an OBDII scan tool to be sure.

Commonly the vsv on the charcol canister goes bad. But you should have gotten a different code.
