Toyota Repair: headlights dont go out when ignition switch is off and door is opened., toyota camry xle, daytime running lights

Question
My 1992 Toyota Camry XLE has a feature that is supposed to
prevent the headlights from staying on if I forget to turn them off.
Specifically, if the headlight switch is on, and the ignition switch is
off and the key removed, when the door is opened the headlights
are supposed to go off.
That feature has quit working and I have been stranded twice
recently when I forgot to turn the headlights off (running with them
on in the daytime for safety and didn't notice them when I got out
of the car).
Is there a specific relay failure that would cause this problem?

Answer
Check the headlight relay under the hood in the fuse box, try changing it with another relay to see if it helps, if not there may be a problem with the integration relay under the left side of the dash, it has all of the time delay functions built into it as well as door lock control and daytime running lights if so equipped.
