Toyota Repair: DTC Code P2238 - Highlander 04, air fuel ratio, warranty period

Question
I occasionally get the check engine light on my '04 Highlander. It goes away after a day and I've taken it to the dealership once for the problem - they asked if I recently filled the gas tank and did I "tighten" the gas cap. Well the check engine light has started to appear more frequently (and it always goes away within a day or two). I borrowed a code reader from a friend and the code being displayed is P2238.

I can find no meaning to that code except for a previous post you have that refers to a TSB EG034-04 (which I think was for a Camry).

Should I be concerned about this code? Is there a TSB that deals with the Highlander for this type of engine code?

Thanks so much!

Answer
This DTC has nothing to do with the gas cap being loose.(Bozoes!)A loose gas cap will trigger a 441,442,446 code!
The P2238 refers to service bulletin EG032-04, it involves recalibrating the engine control ECU and replacing the air/fuel ratio sensor, contact your toyota dealer and have them check this bulletin, I can't believe they did not check for this,I can not believe some of the incompetence that exists out there, by the way the warranty period for this is 96mos/80,000 miles so it will be fixed at no charge to you unless it is out of the time/mileage limits which I doubt is the case.
Feel free to print this and show it to the ASM or service manager at the dealer you went to I'm sure there will be a couple of red faces, good luck!
