Toyota Repair: Rav 4., filler tube, elderly aunt

Question
Elderly Aunt had a 1997 Rav 4 with 27,000 miles on it.Has 4cyls, Automatic Trans with OD and is 4Wd. It has been sitting for nearly 6 months without driving it.It is outside. What should be done to ensure that it isn't damaged when getting it running again. It is about 1 and 1/2 hours from our house. It was running fine before before being left to sit.

The only thing I would be concerned about is the fuel in the tank, gasoline can deteriorate over time and become unusable, you can smell the gas at the filler tube if it smells like paint thinner it is not good and will have to be drained out and fresh fuel put in.
Before starting the engine I would check the engine oil level and the coolant, remove the spark plugs and put a few drops of engine oil into each spark plug hole, not too many, maybe three or four. Other than that I don't see any cause for concern.
