210K miles...no repair history, but I know for certain that not much maintenace has been done to this truck, it seems to be the original timing belt too, so I'm very worried about this... but first I need to take care of this one.
Engine light on, flashes 5 times, stops, 1 flash and then does it all over again.
After doing research it seems to be the oxygen sensor, I wanted to know if there is more than one sensor like on the newer models , I can't seem to find free access to 1991 manual online... therefore I'm basing my observations on the 96 model manual and a visual inspection under the truck in this cold weather. Thank you for your help

My trouble code chart doesn't list a DTC#51, make sure the A/C switch is not on when testing, then retest with the test jumper between terminals TE1+E1 on the test connector under the hood, let me know what you find.

The code 51 is the Throttle position sensor, I adjusted slightly, it ran fine for few days, now it has a code 52 (knock sensor), at this time I don't know what to do? if I should replace the $160 sensor?  what can happen if I let this one go? (keep driving it with the code on)...  can you please give me some suggestions, perhaps guide me to a place where I can purchase a used engine for a decent price? thank you

Answer
Is there a major mechanical problem with the engine?
If there is any knocking noise from the engine it will trigger the knk sensor code. If the engine does not have a problem the sensor may be the cause or it's wiring, make sure it is connected where it comes out from under the intake manifold.
