Toyota Repair: Starting, selonoid, toyota dealer

Question
My 1995 Corolla sometimes only clicks wheb the key is turned to start.  So far it has always started the second time the key is turned.  It happens infrequently and cannot be duplicated for trouble shooting.  The battery and terminal conections seem to be OK.  I suspect that the contacts in the starter (or selonoid) are bad.  Can they be replaced?  What amount of work is involved to replace the contacts?  Thanks.  BF

Answer
The solenoid contacts can be replaced they are only available from the toyota dealer as far as I know, the starter has to be removed and then the solenoid removed from the starter and disassembled to replace the contacts, it can be done but is time consuming, when replacing the contacts it is extremely important to clean the solenoid plunger contact area with a small file.
