Toyota Repair: 92 Paseo turning over but not firing, compression test, distributor cap

Question
Car was running hot, cooling fan relay bad, changed it now won't start. Other relay's and coil tested ok, can't find ignition control modulator does it have a pick up coil in distributor? could it be in the relay box, specifically the plug-ins for the relay's? If so which one should be checked first?

Answer
A couple of things need to be checked:
Is there spark to the spark plugs?
Is there fuel pressure?
The engine compression.
The timing belt may also have broken, remove the distributor cap to see if the rotor turns with the engine.
The engine may have been overheated to the point where there may be internal damage, that's why the compression test is important. If eveything checks out ok but there is still no spark, replace the entire distributor.
