Question
my boyfriend car got stoning from my job and the police found the car.but the tow track company has the car,the police stated since the car is on hold we should not pay for the car. but the tow track company stated we have to. what to do. i need help.

Answer
STATE LAWS ( you did not mention what state) say that the vehicle owners are responsible for towing and storage fees...

Now the car got "STONING" which I am guessing is "STOLEN"

Police holds are generally not long, as they need time to process or fingerprint vehicles... After all if they catch the person (thief) who stole it, you can pursue then in court for any costs you incur.

Now in an "ideal situation" you would have full coverage insurance which would cover the loss and fees, but you as the vehicle owner decide the amount of risk which you take when you get either the full coverage insurance or the very minimum insurance coverage.

I would do what you can to get it out as fast as possible as it goes up each day.
