Toyota Repair: brake indicator light, fuel gauge, seqouia

Hi Mr. Ritter,
I have a 2003 Toyota Sequioa limited 4wd vehicle and just
recently
purchased vehicle from a private seller. I noticed intermittenly
the
brake indicator on the dash would come on after applying the
brake pedal (not the e-brake) and after driving a few miles and
the light would stay
on. Engaging or disengaging the e-brake has no effect the light
stays on. The next time however you cycle the ignition it
operates
back to normal. This has occured 5 times in a span of 1000
miles
of driving in a one month period. The brake fluid level in the
mastercylinder is normal and when I perfomed a brake
inspection pad thickness was ok. Also I noticed intermittenly
the fuel gauge is inaccurate at times it reads lower than normal
for example I just filled up with gas then a few key cycles later
the gauge would read empty and the low fuel indicator would
illuminate then a few key cycles later fuel gauge would read
nomal. This occured 4 times in a one month span. Both
symptoms never occured at the same time. I don't if they're
related? I was thinking maybe could be caused by a faulty
multiplex unit or ecu grounding the cicuits when they're not
suppose to.Or the ecu needs to be updated I don't have access
to service manual or etm to see the circuit description. Any ideas
or suggestion would be appreciated. The basic warranty 3/36
has expired vehicle has
52,000 miles thats why I have not taken it to the dealership yet.

I believe there was a service bulletin issued about the fuel gauge inaccuracy, I won't know for sure until tuesday,
The brake light problem could be involved, by coincidence I have a Seqouia in the shop right now with the same problem, I have spent about 6 hours so far and the problem has not been found, we have replaced both the translate ecu and the abs/vsc computers, we suspect by doing further tests that the brake booster may be the problem, this one is still under warranty but I have to get this resolved very soon, if you could leave me an email address I can let you know what the solution was, I should now by thursday.
