Answer -
Is it automatic or manual transmission.

Answer
Possibly a neutral start switch problem, the next time it does this try holding the key in the start position and move the shift lever through the entire range a few times and stopping at N at P position and see if it starts, if it does replace the neutral start switch located on the side of the transmission where the shift rod connects, there is a large electrical connector with a lot of wires.
