Toyota Repair: 2001 Tundra Rough Idle and stalls, air intake hose, stiff bristle

Question
My 2001 Tundra 4.7 V8 engine has begun to die while at idle.  I have approx. 73,000 miles.
It idles rough, sometime the RPM's will surge back to normal, then die down below 2-300 RPM's then die. I've read on other sites (i.e. Tundra Solutions, etc.) that this is a fairly common problem. Dealership thinks it may be bad gas.  Do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Yes it is a fairly common problem and there is a relatively easy fix, why your dealer doesn't know this I have no idea, as we do this all the time.
The problem is that the throttle body gets gunked up after time, the solution is to remove the air intake hose and blocking the throttle plate open and then cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner(available at all autoparts stores)using an old stiff bristle toothbrush or even a small metal brush to clean the residue from the inside of the throttle body, this works for us 99% of the time.
