Toyota Repair: EGR System, negative battery cable, exhaust gas recirculation valve

Question
Hi again. Got a new problem (I thought Toyota's didn't _need_ a check engine light :P).

Anyway, I got codes P0402 and P1411, excessie flow in exhaust gas recirculation valve, and EGR valve position sensor circuit range/performace (malfunction), respectively. No performance loss, though I wouldn't know how it's supposed to feel, the car's only been with me for 2 weeks. The guy at AutoZone suggested I take the 3 bolts off and clean the inside of the EGR, then to run injector cleaner (seafoam) through it twice (at each new tank of gas) and see if it helps.

Seems to me it might be an electrical problem, since the P1141 code seems to be for some sensor? Where/what should I start checking? I'd like to fix this myself if I can (parts are allot cheaper online than at Toyota or my mechanic, not to mention labor).

The only part I don't think I could replace, due to it's location, was the vacuum regulator. I have NO experience fixing stuff under the hood unless it's a loose wire or tube; do you think I should do this myself or go to a dealer/mechanic? I have no ohmmeter, voltometer, etc needed to check this stuff, but if it wouldn't be a problem to go buy some cheap ones (I'll need em' later I'm sure anyway).

Thanks for your help, you're awesome :). Have a great week.

Answer
These codes are referring to a mafunction with the EGR valve position sensor, forget what those guys at autozone told you it's a waste of your time and money.
Go to the toyota dealer and get an EGR valve position sensor, it's located on top of the EGR valve, remove the three 8mm nuts and pull the old sensor off and replace it, remove the negative battery cable and wait ten seconds, re install it and start the engine, the check engine light should go off,if it doesn't let me know.
