4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: ford f150 rear axle seal, rear axle seal, rear seal

Question
I have a 2002 ford 150 supercrew 5.4 v8. I noticed there was oil leaking onto the inside of my drivers rear tire and was thinking it was the rear seal, is that a pressed on seal or could i do it my self?  I know it is not the caliper leaking I already checked that

Answer
The seal is a pressed fit but it can be done at home with simple tools. Only thing is some slight disasymbly of the rear axle internals. You will have to pull the driver side axle out of the housing completely and you can get the seal out with a pry bar and drive the new one in with a hammer and a piece of wood

let me know if yu decide to try and I can talk you through it
