Toyota Repair: Cressida battery and brake lights, dash lights, battery indicator

Question
1989 Cressida, automatic, 165000mi -

Brake and battery indicator lights flash on and off at seemingly random times sometimes at same time sometimes one or the other. Brake light is on a lot even when parking brake fully released. Battery indicator light is more recent - no effect on how car performs, has been going on for about 1 month. Any obvious place to start or just take it to a mechanic?

Brand new problem - Left rear turn signal works fine, right rear flashes very fast as does dashboard indicator, front signal on left side only. Same three lights work w hazard - all flash w same timing. Do I just need a new right front bulb?

Thanks,
Daniel

Answer
Those dash lights being on indicate a problem with the alternator, have it checked or just replace it, it is on it's way to complete failure and when it does it won't charge the battery anymore and you may get stuck somewhere.
Check the bulbs, the flashers will flash faster if one of the bulbs is burned out.
