Toyota Repair: stalling, sitting in the sun, toyota dealer

I have a 1989 Camry which has been stalling however starts up right away.  The stalling never occurs in the morning only in the afternoon after sitting in the sun or when driving for a while. On 2 separate occasions before stalling I was at a stop and when pressed on the gas the car would hestitate, check engine light turns on and then stalls. Any ideas?

I need to know if there are any trouble codes in the computer, I recommend taking it to a toyota dealer or any other facility that can check for the codes, then you can let me know and go from there. Also I need to know if it is a V-6 engine or 4 cylinder and automatic or standard transmission.
