Toyota Repair: 93 camry carankshaft pulley removal, crankshaft pulley, toyota dealer

Question
I am trying to remove the crankshaft pulley on my 93 camry to replace a timing belt. The main bolt in the middle of the pulley will not turn without turning the pulley ( in effect never loosening the bolt). There are four threaded holes in that pulley evenly spaced around that bolt. Is there some special tool involving those holes that loosens the main bolt? Do you know any tricks to getting that bolt loose; we have tried stoping other cogs (on the timing belt) but the belt slips and will not hold the pulley/cog still.

Answer
We use a tool that plummers use. It is a bar with a chain that is attached at the end. We wrap the chain around the pulley and the end attaches to the bar. It will hold the pulley while the nut is removed.
Your next thrill is to actually remove the pulley. Some come off fairly easy others not.  Consider having the Toyota dealer do the job for you. They always have specials and it can cost you sometimes less than 200.00.  That may be cheap considering what you are facing.
