Toyota Repair: Brakes on 00 Tundra, rear brakes, wheel cylinders

Question
Brakes on '00 Tundra.
Brake pedal hits the floor.  I've heard notorius brake problems stories on Tundras.  I've also heard to ONLY go OEM.  But if the problem persists, then why would I want OEM.

Would you suggest I stay OEM on frt brake replace/repair, or should I go aftermarket?  Any suggestions if aftermarket?

Thx for the valuable service.

Answer
The Tundras had a problem with brake vibration, there was/is a service bulletin which is a fix for that problem.
The warranty period is good for 3yrs/36,000 miles. I only recommend using factory OEM parts, I recommend having the brakes checked at a toyota dealer, have the rotors measured to make sure they are above the minimum thickness, if the rear brakes are way out of adjustment it will cause a low brake pedal, it may be necessary to adjust the rear brakes, if the brake pads are good and the rear brakes adjusted correctly and the brake pedal is still low there may be a problem with the brake hydraulic system, possibly a malfunctioning master cylinder or a leak somewhere, have the rear wheel cylinders checked for leaks.
