Toyota Repair: efi error codes, toyota 4runner, jumper wire

Question
87 Toyota 4runner, 22RE      Bad misfire. Good spark.  Poor fuel delivery on all cylinders. Good fuel pressure.  12V coming to injectors which have been removed and cleaned. I want to check if the efi computer is at fault or one of the sensors.  I have already tested input power to the computer and ground points of the computer and most sensors.  All ok.  How do I retrieve the error codes from the diagnostic plug without a special reader?  Only a multimeter. I have list of error codes from Alldata.  Can the check engine light be made to flash?  Thanks.

Answer
Locate the diagnostic check connector under the hood, it may have a small black or grey cover on it, open the cover and connect a jumper wire between terminals T1 or TE1 and E1, this will make the check engine light blink and giving you the trouble code, there may be more than one code, it will show the lowest number code first.
