Toyota Repair: No spark No fuel, toyota camry, cylinder compression

Question
Hi, i own a 1992 Toyota Camry 2.2l DOHC with about 180,000 miles on it. I was driving down the freeway one day and it overheated. I failed to pay attention to any of the gauges and my car slowly died. After i had pulled off to the side and waited about 2 hours with the radiator running i tried starting it and the engine turned over but didnt fire. I came to find that there is no spark and the fuel pump isnt turning on with the key is in the on position. It seems like its obviously an electrical problem, but can you help please? Thanks, Brayden.

Answer
I think the overheating is the problem, it may have caused damage to the headgasket or the pistons and cylinder walls, check to make sure that the engine is mechanically ok, the first thing is to check the cylinder compression.
If there are no mechanical problems check the distributor, remove the cap and see if the rotor is turning when cranking the engine, I don't think the problem is fuel pressure, the fuel pump will not run if there is no spark signal to the computer.
