Toyota Repair: Toyota Camry Brake Calipers, remanufactured calipers, brake calipers

Question
About six months ago I had my brakes checked out by a mechanic and he told me my calipers were sticking and needed to be replaced. I can do some mechanical stuff myself and replaced both calipers with remanufactured calipers and at the same had to purchase one new rotor had the other one turned and replaced the brake pads. I had the brakes checked today because they were making that little squeek when they need to be replaced again but I was thinking no way it is to soon. The guy tells me I need to replace the calipers because one is sticking. Do you know anything about this? Any suggestions? This is a 1997 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder with ABS. This guy told me also that I must have put the calipers on wrong because you have to align it just right. I don't think that is correct.

Answer
In the 25 plus years that I have worked on toyotas at the dealer level I have never seen any reason to replace brake calipers, the idiot that is telling you this that you didn't align them right is wrong, take your car out of there and do yourself a huge favor and have a toyota dealer look at the brakes, it will save you some money in the end.
If you don't want to go to a dealer at least find a repair shop that is honest.
