QuestionHi! I just found you wen site and I am inpressed! I have a charging system question on a 1990 Toyota 4Runner, V6, 5 speed: the park brake and battery light on the dash stay illuminated. I replaced the alternator twice and checked the 60A fuse, but the battery does not charge. What do the dash lights indicate?

There is a quick test that you can do yourself to see if the alternator and charging system is working, with the engine running disconnect the negative battery terminal on the battery, if the engine keeps running the alternator is good, if the engine dies, the alternator is not working. If the engine keeps running replace the battery.
