Toyota Repair: previa sliding door, door hinge, rear edge

Question
The sliding door on our 1992 Previa is not closing very well.  The forward latch seems to catch, but the rear latch doesn't.  Slamming the door forward doesn't seem to help.  Applying some pressure from the outside (at the rear edge) will make it close with effort, but that can't be done from inside. Is there an adjustment that we can make?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Answer
The most common sliding door problems are caused by worn hinges or the rollers, this problem can be solved by replacing both the upper door hinge with the rollers and the rear door hinge, the one that slides to the back when opening the door, this gets pretty involved, the inner door panel has to be removed to get to the bolts that connect the rear hinge and the cover on the track will need to be removed, the upper hinge is not that difficult but the door will need to be supported so it won't fall down, unless someone knows exactly what they are doing I would not recommend this as a do it yourself project, I recommend having the toyota dealer do this.
