Mitsubishi Repair: Fuel system for 92 Expo Lrv, batery, electrical problem

Question
Well I cant seem to get the car to start so i checked everything and found that i was not getting fuel. I then went on to change the fuel filter and still it did not work. I then changed the fuel pump and yet it still did not work. Then i went and changed the relay that controled it and it did not work. I also tryed to reset the computer by touching the two batery leads together( without them hooked to the batery of course hah). That was something a dealer mechanic told me to do and it still did not work. He said by doing that after changing all that, it would reset the computer to original settings and would clear any error left in the system.

Oh and this all happened after the car had sat in a parking spot for about 3-4 months without anyone starting it. Please help with any more idea's.

Answer
Michael,
There may be a fuse that has blown.  Sometimes referred to as the MPI or EFI fuel.  This allows power to the relay and fuel pump.  If your fuel pump energizes with a 12V source connected directly to it, then you have an electrical problem in the system.  It's possible our car's computer is the problem.  You can read this article for more information:

Have your ECU checked and replaced if necessary.
Good luck!
